Victoria All-on-4 implants restore a complete arch on four titanium posts
Four implants support a fixed bridge across the entire upper or lower jaw. The rear pair angles forward to anchor in denser bone, which often eliminates the need for a sinus lift on the upper arch.
Tilting the rear posts reaches bone the sinus doesn't occupy
The upper jaw loses bone after teeth are gone, and the sinus descends into the space. A straight post placed where the bone is thinnest would sit partly in air. All-on-4 solves this by angling the rear two posts forward at 45 degrees, anchoring them in the denser ridge that sits in front of the sinus. This geometry often eliminates the need for a separate sinus lift procedure.
The angled placement also spreads the four posts across a wider footprint than four vertical posts would occupy, creating a more stable base for the bridge. When bone volume permits, All-on-6 Implants adds two more posts for additional support, and Full Mouth Implants addresses both jaws in a single coordinated plan.
If bone resorption is severe even at the front of the ridge, a Sinus Lift Surgery may still be necessary. The CBCT scan determines this before any commitment is made.

Honest limits
Four posts means no redundancy if one fails
All-on-4 is designed for efficiency: fewer posts, less bone needed, lower cost. That efficiency has a trade-off. If one of the four posts ever fails, the entire bridge must come off while the failed site is treated and a replacement post is placed. This is uncommon, but it is the real downside of the lean design. All-on-6 Implants adds two posts specifically to provide that redundancy.
All-on-4 is also a fixed bridge that stays in the mouth. Cleaning happens in place with a water flosser or interdental brushes, not by removing the bridge at the sink. Usually yes. A temporary bridge goes on the same day where the four posts are stable enough to carry it. If the bone is soft or an infection has to settle, you may wear a temporary denture for a few weeks instead. We tell you which is likely before the day rather than after.
Yes, because a fixed bridge spreads its load across all four rather than loading each tooth separately. The protocol has decades of use behind it. What matters is that the four are placed where the bone can actually hold them, which is what the planning is for.
Often, and that is much of the appeal. Angling the rear posts forward reaches bone in front of the sinus. It is not certain either way; where the ridge has resorbed severely a lift may still be needed. The scan answers it before you commit.
With only four, losing one usually means the bridge comes off while the site is treated and a replacement post placed. It is uncommon but it is the honest downside of the lean approach, and it is the main reason some cases are planned with six instead.
Brushing as normal plus cleaning underneath where the bridge meets the gum, usually with a water flosser or interdental brushes. That junction is where problems start, so the routine matters more than with natural teeth. We show you at the fit appointment.
