Implant fees
People arrive at an implant cost page with one of three questions: what does one tooth come to, what does a whole jaw come to, or how do I spread it. This section splits along those lines so you are not reading about full arch surgery when you have lost a single molar.
Start here
If one tooth is missing, the arithmetic is small and predictable, and Single Implant Cost is the page you want. If a whole jaw is failing, pricing works completely differently because a handful of posts carry the entire arch, which is what Full Mouth Cost covers.
If the treatment figure is settled and the question is how to pay it, skip both and go to Implant Financing. Staging, plans and how dental policies usually handle implants are all separate from what the treatment itself costs.
And if you simply want to know why quotes vary so wildly between practices, Dental Implant Cost takes a quote apart line by line.
As a starting point, one tooth usually falls between $3,000 and $6,500 once the post, abutment and crown are counted, and a full arch between $20,000 and $35,000 per arch, or $40,000 to $65,000 for both. Those are example ranges, not quotes: the figure for your own mouth depends on bone, position and how many stages the plan needs.
What to expect
Before anyone has seen your jaw, a range is the only honest answer. A firm number before a scan is not something anyone can stand behind.
Imaging is what turns the range into a number, because it settles the one question that moves the total most.
A plan you can take away, compare elsewhere and think about. Nothing is booked at this point.
Only once the figure is real does it make sense to talk about staging it or spreading it.

Three practices, three formats. Only one broke the fee into parts I could actually compare.
The quote held. Nothing appeared at the end that had not been on the first sheet.
Spread it over two years. They went through what my insurance would actually pay rather than telling me to phone and find out.
Wanted a number on the phone and did not get one. Understood why once I had seen the scan.

MSP does not cover dental implants in British Columbia. Most private plans offer partial coverage only. Understanding your benefits and annual maximums before treatment starts helps you plan the real cost.
